Ages range from 8 to 18 but adults are welcome too and for both boys and girls, men and women.

We meet on Sundays between 10am and 12noon which is ideal for young people who have a busy school schedule or lots of activities during the week but need to burn off some energy at the weekend. And keep them off the game consoles!

All equipment is provided, all you need to do is provide something to drink such as squash or water. Do make sure you have some breakfast or your energy will fade before the end of the session.

Practicing a surprise attack called the fleche (arrow)

Practicing the fleche (arrow) surprise attack

A session starts with warm up games and fencing related exercises followed by fencing  and individual coaching lessons.

We also have electric scoring kit which is used at all competitions these days.

Beginners are welcome at any time.

We have three well qualified and DBS(CRB) certified British Fencing coaches

The cost is £90 per term(*) for juniors and adults which can vary between 11 and 14 weeks or £10 per single session, which is really good value for a healthy physical and mental exercise and being kept occupied!

Discount available for two or more from same family

(*) Please note that the fees for 2018/19 have not been determined and may be a bit higher.

Fencers have the opportunity to enter County and Regional competitions and to take British Fencing Achievement Awards or just fence for fun and exercise.
